They can also be mixed to create different shades and applied with either an airbrush or brush, depending on the desired effect.

When mixed with pigments, Model Wash can replicate a range of effects like rust, mud, earth, dust, and moss. Additionally, when combined with acrylic colors, these washes enhance the appearance of wear and weathering. The washes are made with a modified acrylic resin, providing the same surface tension as traditional solvent-based products while being water-based for easier use. They dry in approximately 20 minutes, with a recommended 40-minute wait between applications for optimal results.
